In my book, Weezer has always been Buddy Holly meets The Pixies all wrapped up in your typical 90's grunge garage band. Dorky songs, simple arrangements and great guitar riffs.

weezer WAS good, 10 years ago

and even then, they weren't anything original, just another poppy *** trendy band tugging on nirvana's coat-tails, at least the pixies and nirvana died or called it quits before they started trying to capitalize off of uninspired regurgitated shit albums a la weezer in the last 6 years
