Dale Jr To Drive #88 Mountain Dew Amp Energy Car Next Year

There are no family ties to that race team anymore. Teresa is a ***** and a control freak. Jr would rather everyone leave him alone and let him drive, but since he is who he is that won't happen. So you think he is a sellout by going to drive for hendricks. He is doing what he needs to do to win a championship, something he couldn't do at DEI with the wicked witch running things
I heard different

but eh.......

Jr. did not sell out by going to Hendricks. He left a race team that is not really going anywhere for a team that has won four championships in th past decade. He traded up. Rick Hendrick has his shiot together.

I wouldn't have wanted to see him in the 3 car racing for Richard Childress. That was his daddy's car. It wouldn't be right. The 88 car was originally driven by Dale Jr's grandfather, Ralph when he raced NASCAR. The # 8 was taken by another driver.

On another note, I do not like the paint schemes at all. They do not follow the Hendricks tradition. The number style doesn't either. I just wonder how they talked Robert Yates out of the #88.

I dont see how you can just sit there and watch cars go around in a circle.
Forreal... I'm not knocking anyone's choice of entertainment but what is it that makes car racing so popular...? I just dont get it either..... I've heard of the hot chix at the races but beyond that... what is the draw/ attraction?? I've never been to a race for the record but also I've never been to an NFL game but I still love it!!

That's right, I said it! Please, prove me wrong. Popular- yes, great- no!

Did anyone see the interview with him on 60 Minutes? My favorite line was this, "It's my way or the highway; everone knows that." Therein lies this biitches problem. He is not a team player and is the FIRST to blame everyone else. When was the last time he owned up to making a mistake on the track? You don't finish out of the chase two years in a row without making several mistakes! It wouldn't bother me so much if his arrogance was coupled with talent and results. However, it is not.

Now for the irony. Jeff Gordon is one of his bosses. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif I'm not a Gordon fan but he can drive circles around DuhJr. I'm also looking forward to the day that he realizes he can't hold a candle to Gordon and //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif his ball sack.

You say Jr. is not a team player, but everytime he gets out of his car the first people he thanks, whether he had a good race or not, is his team. He knows they bust there *** to make him go fast and tells them how proud he is of them. When was the last time he owned up to making a mistake on the track? That would have be at Wakins Glen this past august when his engine blew. He took full blame for it because of a few bad down shifts during practice and his car wasn't handling well. He is also the last person to blame someone else for a mistake that they made. He got wrecked twice this year because someone didn't slow down in time and plowed into the back of him, but he never came out and said anything about it. Jeff Gordon is also not his boss, just his teammate. Gordon has an equity stake in Hendrick Motorsports but the only ownership he has is of Jimmy Johnsons car not Jrs. Is Gordon a better driver then Jr? On paper it will go down that way cause Jr won't win 4 titles and 80 races, but Jr never whines and complains when things don't go his way.
