i currently have a 15" sx but i'm looking for more SQ without sacrificing output...

I'm thinking about getting 3 or 4 12" infinity referance 12's... my budget is right around 250 shipped max

what about the SQ of CVR 12's???

Does anyone have any opinions on these subs? In a big ported box, would they get nice and low???

Punch? I find a smaller enclosure normally gives you that chest fealing. Driver size will play no roll.

i have my sx in a 4 cube box tuned to 35... if i want better response for rock and better sq, what should i do? i didn't notice much of a difference when i went sealed besides it is much more quiet...

Exactly. Small enclosure volume = high Qtc.

Although it may not be as apparent, as the SX is not really known for being an excellent SQ driver in and of itself...

i guess i'll try it sealed again but i didn't notice a different in sound quality... it didn't hit notes better or anything...

would the 3 12" referances give me a better sound and get loud doing so?

references are barely audible...lol. nah, they're alright, there's better out there for the money though. look for a kappa 12", that'll hit like you want it to. and probably louder than those 3 references.

I have a D9 in the SS box suggested by Diamond (only like 15X13X14) and it gets louder than I ever thought it would!!!!
