Dad Blew his speakers, dosent want 'anything fancy'

My dad blew the speakers on his 99 Caravan and he wants me to replace them. The problem is, he dosent have a HU, so i dont know what kind of speakers would run well off of such little power. Im simply replacing the speakers, No amps, No HU, so any sugestions would be great.

they also have to be fairly cheap, i dont think he would want to spend much money on this. I was looking at some Kicker Coaxials in a store a few months ago, and i was considering those since they are so cheap. but im sure there are better options out there.

I believe I am looking for 1 set of 6x9" and 1 set of 6.5"

ill set the budget at less than 75 per pair for now, hopefully its not less, but i could always get used, so consider that too.....

i put sony 6.5 coaxils in my talon to replace my stock with the stock radio and they sounded find i got them local shop for $50 a pair

just go to best buy and just pick up some old cheap ones. Or go to wal-mart and get the lightning audio speaker package. I installed some in a persons car and they sounded decent with no amp.

well, id rather not have it sound like ***. I was thinking at least type S coaxials. I have them in my car now untill i can afford some comps, and i think they sound nice for the price. I just wanted to try something different

ebay some type R co axils. bought my girl friend a pair for 70 bucks shipped and new.

Does he have speakers on the top dash as well?

Yea, they are the ones in the top of the dash, and 6x9s in the side pannels above the rear wheel wells.

ill look on ebay now. im sure he really wont care what i get as long as its better than the POS that came with it.

The top dash is a 4" IIRC.
