DAC / Amp for headphones

I have these new headphones and they sound great. However, I suspect the battery life will be killed using these headphones. I cannot plug anything into the USB slots at work, thus I need a standalone amp.

I'd like a DAC/Amp combo, if possible for best SQ as possible.

I have an ipod. It doesn't have to be iPod specific, but work with iPod.

The important thing is that it has an external power source.

N -- checked out head-fi, but I couldn't find a "newbie" thread.

I definitely don't need to get all that, necessarily... but... you can.

To be honest, I don't either. I am not really all that interested in jumping into tubes anyway. The major point was that I was afraid of what a higher ohm headphones would do to battery life. I know it will shorten it...but will it damage it in any way. If the answer is clearly "No" then my need is signifcantly reduced and any type of amp will work.
