My first 360 was goofy. WOuldn't always load the flash screen, didn't detect controllers.

My second one has played everything for hours. DVD's, CD's, XBOX and 360 games. Not a hitch.

The 360 is no worse than the PS2. Remember DRE's? No matter how un-dusty the PS2 was, the laser still took a shit. It got so bad there was a suit filed, and won. SONY would fix any console with a certain model number for free, due to the problems they were having. MS is doing a similar thing.

Every massively produced console is going to have problems, especially with the technology found inside. If PS3 was produced on the scale 360 was, especially for the holidays, there would be problems with it. QC is based on a ratio. For every 100 good consoles, 1 is a total piece of shit. I have three friends with perfectly fine 360's, and know a kid with one that died in 5 days.

so i called to get my little brothers 360 replaced, after i called about 11 months ago before they extended teh warentee. The warrenty on this one expired 2 days ago. Oh well, ill just mod it. I told the guy from M$ ill just continue to play my ps3 that i havent had a problem with and not buy a single m$ product.
