BAH i went to get on my 360 to pwn on some GRAW2 and well these **** 3 red lights were flashing around the power button so now i have to send it in for warranty. HOW GHEY! i bought it in like december and it stopped workin today for some reason.

anyone else have that problem before?

It happens with a lot of 360's. If you ***** at where you bought it, or Microsoft, I'm sure they will fix it/get you a new one for a small fee and or shipping.

There's a couple tricks to keep it from happening though. One, lay it horizontal, not vertical. Vertical blocks the big vents.

Also, if you can keep it elevated off the ground. I put inch spacers under it to make sure the bottom vents let out air. Also, don't keep it in an enclosed area like a cabinet.

Don't put the 360 or the heat sink thing connected to the cable on the carpet. Carpet holds in a lot of heat which is not good. The 360 is made to run hot as it is, but don't overdo it.

Lastly, keep an eye on it. If you see it has two green lights, it means it's gettin' up there in temperature so shut it off and let it cool down.

****. I've had my 360 since December 2005 and no problems as of yet. Though I may want to trade it in for the Elite.

I think the first few batches had a lot with this issue, I got mind Dec 05 and never had a prob yet. I got the Gamestop extra year warranty but that runs out this Dec and I think after that your SOL and gotta mail it in + prob about $100 bucks if out of warranty.

its more then the first batch because it was happening to the elite 360's

Same thing happened to mine a while ago. The first time I called they told me to send it in and it will be a $150 charge. I pretty much told the guy that was bullshit and hung up. I called back a few weeks later and explained the same problem to them, and they took care of it. I did not have to pay for anything, not even shipping. I guess it was because so many of the 360's had problems so a lawsuit was going to be filed against them, so they stopped charging for the repairs.
