D@MN 3 red lights!

I had a warranty on mine and it just costs me a lot of patience. I heard the new update was what fried most of them. All I know is that I'm not updating the console ever again.

****. I've had my 360 since December 2005 and no problems as of yet. Though I may want to trade it in for the Elite.

i've got the same yamaha receiver as you

It's either you get a good batch or bad batch, that's why you wait a while for the system to be out so all the good bugs can be fixed. But I would still get it right away anyways. Odd to see the Elite have problems, my friends first Elite had problems he had to return it. Second one is working fine though. You could modify the internal fan so it can speed up the rpm, making it cool better. But that's a little hands-on.

my ps3 hasnt had one problem

My brothers 360 has had more problems than any other system ive seen. Oh well just because the 360 has halo its the greatest thing since sliced bread /sarcasm

back on with the fan bois //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i had that problem with mine a few months ago. i called them and i got it fixed for free. they even sent me a box to ship it to them. Not a problem since.

The best thing to do once its out fo warranty is upgrade the "active" cooling on the 360's. That means putting actually fan(s) on the heatsinks over the cpu/gpu. The thermal paste job is what is causing a lot of these problems from what I've seen. I personally would buy a used one and modify it immediately with AS3 or something similar and a big ol fan right over the heatsinks. http://xboxscene.com/xbox360-tutorials.php?p=23|24|#24

Very good website, that has a lot of cooling mods. I would definitely think about that. Questions you can PM me
