Cuved PVC port

Hey, i searched and didn't find much info, but if i put a curve in my port using a pvc bend, should i just measure down the middle of the curve? I figure, one side is longer, and one is shorter, so the average would be in the middle. does this work ok?

we tested adding pvc in a wall and it didnt gain but a few tenths, not gonna be worth the headache unless ur just chasing tenths on a spl meter

not sure what you are talking about, but i am trying to figure tuning freq. by using pvc, and sometimes you need to have a bend in the pipe.

Why not just use a slot port if your going to use bends? Unless you use an 8 inch tube your not going to have enough area anyway...

If you are asking for pvc elbows, I don't see any problem with that.

thanks, actually, i was asking how to measure the length. And fast1one, i have read that because round ports have less friction than slot, less port area is needed.

hes saying it would be stupid to bend a 4" pvc pipe....

elbows work fine, i used 2 of them with my apocalypse

pvc pipe = lots of port noise

i just tried a box like that.

im throwing it in the fire and building a slot port tonight actually

Having a PVC pipe for a port does not mean a lot of port noise my last box was ported with pvc and I had no port noise. Maybe the problem was the lack of port area you had?
