i just installed SI BM's in my truck and when i get the bass going and turn up the volume the subs shut off for 4 seconds and then turn back on, the amp isnt going into portection. whats the problem

Amp might be over heating, my kenwood I used for a filler amp would cut out if I played a long powerful bass note...

a cap is not a bad thing to have although alot of people think they are. they just dont fix power problems like alot of people think they do and buy them for.

when the bass turns off, look at your cap, and see what it reads
