cutting good circles

^ or a ruler and nail, just cut a little slot in the end of the ruler for a pen/pencil to sit in, nail it down through the radius you want where the center of the circle should be, spin it around and you've got a perfect circle drawn out, cut out with a jigsaw.

That's exactly how I do it.

cool. ill do that ruler idea then. thanks!

also, i think i made the cuts a little too big for my 12s, am i able to cut a square hole in the baffle and then build another ontop of that? it would add some volume but it shouldent be much at all

Yup...you dont need to cut it into a square either just cut a square and put it on top of it, or just make a whole extra baffle

i take a scrap of wood. preferably 1" wide and however long. screw on one side , and measure from there. drill a hole at your desired diameter for pen/pencil. spin in circle.

i usually save the scrap and mark the size it is , but i havnt build anything latly. so i trashed all mine.

i do same but at desired diameter i shoot a screw through and use that to mark the circle and it cuts a slight groove in the wood and jigsaw will follow it very nicely

if im doing a cover baffle like i mentioned earlier, i dont want to have to buy another 4x8 peice of mdf, but i have stuff like plywood and pine and such laying around, can i use that?
