what is the best way to cut circles w/o a jigsaw....

anyone got a link in the forums..that shows how to rig up a router to do this?

All you need is one of the myriad router jigs out there. Or you can build your own with a piece of hardboard screwed onto the base of the router.

I used 1/4" thick masonite (can be bought for less than $5 at home depot) to make it and it is very strong and perfect for a jig base.

Just remember, when you're measuring to see how far away to place the pivot point, measure from the outside of the bit with the router attached.

The first hole shows an eleven inch cutout (5.5" radius) and the second pictures shows a 5 and something inch cutout for a 6" speaker. Both turned out perfect where the drivers fit in without sanding and didn't need to be pressed in at all. Once they were in, they could not move around at all.

Measure to the outside for holes, inside for rings.

Yea, and also measure to the center, or the tip, of the pivot screw that you use.

i used a dremmel to do mine, took me over 30 minutes to do it haha.
