It sounds like a 4th order or 6th order box or something like that. Page would not load for me I had to use google cache to read it so no images. So I don't know what it is unless it's a 4th order and it kind of makes sense when you write it like they did.

Not sure if it would really make it "louder" though.. IDK

If I remember right, it was a 6th order with an adjustable chamber that allowed for adjustable frequency responce.

But I read that a long time ago and might be a bit off.

the screws on the side are to hold the "insert", or baffle, in place after it's adjusted.
