I would but didn't someone do that back in the early 90's? (SAS/Bazooka) LOL.Add a water jacket and NPT input/output ports to allow for active external water cooling. To the top plate too. If we are going crazy here.
I'm intrested to see it. What info do you have? as for mine, as sub is only as good as the result of it's ability to do what it was designed for, we will see about that in a week of so.kman i bought a new 10" woofer...pics and thread up on tuesday....not as nice as yours but still pretty nice and kinda rare....and your design looks good
I will have the proto's 100% machined in the USA, then once I get the results I am hoping for, I will have to look into other possible avenues for production processes. I would like to think I could keep it in the US and be marketable, but who knows.do you plan on making it (actually machining the part) ?
I ask cause looking at it from my point of view (build, design,CNC machines), there are a few areas that you could change to make it a little easer to make. the oval cooling holes would be easier to have round holes (as many as you want), just cause the oval would have to follow the radius of the post, witch not that its imposiable its extra programing that might be able to be eliminated.
not knocking the design at all, just lookin at it and this is what I thought.
i like this response lol.Well I will put it this way, I don't have a crystal ball, nor do I know if God will let me see the sun rise tomorrow. If however I am able to continue as I plan, yes I will have proto's coming in the next 4-6 months.
Why do you ask? would you be possible buyers? or are you just pumpin' the post count?
YOOOOOOOOOOOOO u got that nightshade??????????kman i bought a new 10" woofer...pics and thread up on tuesday....not as nice as yours but still pretty nice and kinda rare....and your design looks good
Dak Machine Is this your company?I will have the proto's 100% machined in the USA, then once I get the results I am hoping for, I will have to look into other possible avenues for production processes. I would like to think I could keep it in the US and be marketable, but who knows.
no offence taken, thanks.
My thought there was to get as close to 50% open space with out causing structural or harmonic issues. I am consirned that with 3 times the amount of circular holes the solid space till be a bit on the narrow side. I may be completely off though.
any other thoughts or questions?
Well i was just wondering if this would ever happen or if it was just another design that would die once its finished. I would not be a pontental (sp?) customer but i would like to see the finished real world product. Some people design things with no real way of putting it into motion or anything and i wanted to see if you had the intentions to actually make this sub or just shoot the shit with a design program. I hope you didnt take my question as offensive.Well I will put it this way, I don't have a crystal ball, nor do I know if God will let me see the sun rise tomorrow.
