Custom alternator setups

Hey guys,

Im just wondering who has a custom alternator setup in their ride (or just has sweet pics of alternator setups youve seen). Im always tired of people saying they dont have options for a HO alt (or more than one) because it wasnt that much work to get 2 pretty hefty alts in my little saturns engine bay. I look into some peoples engine bays and go crazy thinking about all the options they have as far as multiple custom alts go.

So post up pics of your alternator setup to give people ideas on a possible custom setup, be it just one alternator or multiple in places where most people wouldnt have them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

225 amp alternator in stock location thanks to a custom bracket...

The bracket..(this is in a 97 Saturn SL2)

It extended the mounting point back so the alt could fit (it was too large to rotate up to the other mounting point...so the mounting point had to go to it..)

Now for the AC position alternator (250 amp)..

(BEFORE)...AC compressor still in...

Just be a little imaginative and you can fit just about any alt in any car..

Lets see um //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so I take it that you now buy alot of deodorant since you've removed the a/c ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Haha, no...i never used it before either (the AC, when I had it). And only a few times a year would I even consider using the AC...doesnt get that hot here in Ohio.

honestly most cars it really wouldnt be too hard if you removed something from the engine to free up some space, and alot of bigger engine bays could fit one if you had the room. Most people here cant change their own oil so they wouldnt be able to do it anyways.

im doing the same later but keeping the ac. i almost have the same car. i need to build my bracket. if the braket is very visible im going to use cnc alluminum bracket with custom design .(pizzzzaaassssss)

Nice, are talking about replacing the stock alt with something too large or are you adding an alternator to somewhere amidst the pulley system that there is extra space?
