At the time this apparently happened, there were more moderators on the site besides me, as traffic was 50x what it is today. Why aren’t you making them out to be an irresponsible low life also?
You also remember that it was always a case of be damned if I do, be damned if I don’t, as closing or removing threads, or posts was always ridiculed by one side or the other, no matter the circumstance. It became a futile process as each time a chunk of the membership left because they were simply not mature enough to handle a public forum and the consequences of trying to be fair to everyone. Maybe you forget, this is a car audio forum and attracts a 99% “younger” male audience. A lot of the nonsense was par for the course.
Let’s say
Crutchfield decided to become a paid sponsor on the site and members started complaining about bad service, or even unlawful activities about them and members started lambasting them in their threads. I’m guessing I would be once again the bad guy to remove those posts? How can I do research and know every transaction that occurs on the forum and all the details? I was in no way the bad guy in this matter. If posts were deemed to be removed, they were. Why were they apparently in your case, upset at you for no reason?
Since this is according to you “my site” and my business and you’re coming in doing the same things they were to when you advertised here to me, why shouldn’t I go ban you and remove all your posts, as you claim I should have done to all their posts?
Anyways, this belongs in PM, but you keep bringing it up in public to belittle me years later and out of the blue for no reason, but that will now stop.
