Aliens don't necessarily care about specific human affairs like that. You're dealing with civilizations that have plans that are millions of years in the making, and are dealing with beings that are effectively immortal, so it's beyond even the lifespan of all of humanity on earth. Humanity is just stuck in this little corner of this galaxy and is very ignorant and blind and child like. Aliens are more concerned with things like harvesting souls after death, like the good ones try to get people to be better people for the universe, because ultimately we have neighbors and can't be shitheads to them like we are to each other. That's simplifying it a lot, but that's a decent generalization. There's an angelic side to aliens and a demonic side, universe is a very large place.

We can't even begin to comprehend the universe that's expanding at the speed of light and has stars that are millions of times up to trillions of times bigger than our puny planet.

Our first radio transmissions have gone 112 light years into space. The nearest galaxy is 125,000 light years away. Hell, you'd have to travel at light speed for over 4 years just to get to the nearest SOLAR system.
