I know I am taller after a shower. Bazinga!!No you can grow pretty much anything using hydroponics.
A person should only be making minimum when first entering the workforce to gain a track record they can use to move up...it was never intended for individuals to stay in minimum wage jobs...$7/hr worker
A lot of global inflation is due to global reliance on China for manufacturing. It's the height of stupidity for us to have open markets for China while they restrict our access to theirs. I'm glad the Biden Administration able to see the folly in such an arrangement. When the economy implodes from the tariffs, I'm blaming Biden.Exactly and at some point war will break and we won't be able support our needs because of our reliance on China
Show me a local grocery store that sells hydroponic grown tomatoes...Go to the store in the "on" season and buy a hydroponic tomato, and a tomato grown in good soil.
Tell me they are the same.
So us getting cheap goods from China because they pay their workers a lot less than our workers could EVER survive on, is "dry ******* us in the ***"? Seems that WE are the ones winning in that game.
We get cheap goods, and we get to continue underpaying our workers.
The cycle can continue because populations will always grow, and we will always want the most for the least.
OK. Then my plan to pay people here a living wage and then in-shore all manufacturing is perfectly reasonable.
We don't get to dictate law in other countries, unless you become the supreme leader of the world, like in your "take care of America" plan.
That's a dog whistle as minimum wage rises so do the cost of goods. Leaving the minimum wage earner no closer to the "living wage". The only ones that benefit from the so called "living wage" is the ones collecting the taxes...Then my plan to pay people here a living wage
When I was making $5.15hr (minimum wage at the time) I could buy a pack of bar s hotdogs and 2 boxes of macaroni & cheese for between $1-1.25 total...Let's raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to $14.50.
How much you wanna bet that something that cost $50 will suddenly cost $100+
FFS I paid $120+ for an oil change on a 4cyl!!!! Something that not so long ago was like $50
I remember during Bush.v1& Clinto eras, when things got tight, I could feed myself for2 weeks on $10-20.When I was making $5.15hr (minimum wage at the time) I could buy a pack of bar s hotdogs and 2 boxes of macaroni & cheese for between $1-1.25 total...
Yeah that's the time frame...shit top ramen was usually $.10 a packI remember during Bush.v1& Clinto eras, when things got tight, I could feed myself for2 weeks on $10-20.
