The "agreement" was reached when the other countries threatened and enacted tariffs to match our dollar-for-dollar.
That is not a "Win" on Trump's part. His bluff got called and he backed down. Holding the line would mean keeping the tariffs in place.

I've been fortunate that a fentanyl od hasn't touched my family (or friends) but because it's cut into pretty much every drug on the street all it would take is a buddy falling off the wagon. And I'm very concerned for my kiddo...she's not far from the age where kids try things. No matter how much I talk to her about drugs and whatnot there's no guarantee she won't try something that's been cut with fentanyl. I seriously doubt I'm the only parent worried about this.

I'm all against inflation and rising prices because rarely is there a good reason for it. If tariffs or declaring the cartels terrorist organizations gets the Mexican government off the sidelines...that's a plenty good reason to pay a bit more at the stores.

Mexico and Canada have tiny economies compared to the US and legitimately can't afford a trade war without some serious drop in gdp. Even though the threat of tariffs or even enacting them is to provide incentive to get both countries to the table talking.

My kiddos are actually pretty conscious about taking care of their bodies. I'm pretty confident my kiddos won't get into fentanyl, but as you said it's cut into everything. Living in Colorado marijuana is everywhere.

Did you read the article you posted regarding inflation? Inflation drives large purchases like Real Estate, capital investment, etc. I think if you're in the upper tier of wealth, then inflation is/can be advantageous. If you're a retiree, you're thrilled to see the S&P500 go from ~4000 to 6000 in the past year.

Did you see Mexico is already responding to Trump's tariff threat by breaking up the immigrant caravans?

Yep. Inflation isn't completely bad and a small rate of inflation can be beneficial but high inflation (like we seen recently in the last couple years) has too many negatives to be considered growth.

Since Thxone is suddenly about following the rules, I guess we won't see any more posts from him that are: defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, or encourages unlawful activity.

Like his defamatory claims that I create fraud and frame people for committing it.
Or when he uses ad hominem, like calling me and others any variety of curses he likes to use. Like "*******" in his recent post.
Or when he hurls ********** attempts at what he thinks are insults, like "Go suuck diicks"
Or like the several times he said he was going to beat a member up.
Or those times he tried to doxx me by searching other user groups for a username similar to mine, so he could share info from those groups here, in case it was me.

I'm sure he will stop doing all of that shit, since he felt the need to remind us all what the rules are.

I get what you are saying. When you actually start diving into the evolution, scientists state there are huge gaps. They don't have actual specimens and/or evidence of all the different stages of evolution. They all state it is just a theory, and the definition of a theory is basically a rational thought, which means it is just something they believe to be true.

However, I totally agree that we have different opinions, and I respect that.

Now, for my real thoughts...
Earth is not the only planet with intelligent life. Man has only been on earth for approximately 200,000 years. Technology wise, we have only had it for about 100 years and look how far we have come. My thoughts are, there are other much older planets out there. If so, there can be civilizations that are at least twice as old as we are. Imagine the technology they would have. They would have the ability to travel to multiple galaxies, create life, and develop planets. So, who is God? He could be a leader of a civilization who created us. They have found numerous drawings of a man ascending to earth in some type of vessel. Some writings state he arrived in a chariot of fire.

A theory is more than rational thought about what might have happened. Keep in mind that gaps in fossil evidence have been filled in just as the theory predicts.

Could there be other species and civilizations - absolutely. OTOH, what if Einstein is right and the speed of light is the absolute limit? Even assuming you could 10x the speed of light, it would be incredibly difficult for alien civilizations to find each other.

Seriously though it was obvious the Canada/Mexico tariffs were threatened just for that reason...I know, I know it's not an economic benefit from said tariffs but here we are

That's kinda to be expected. The number of things that have to happen just right to create a fossil is crazy. The sheer amount of different species that could've existed and that we'll never know could be in the millions because of that.
