Current events discussion

Nice screenshot. None of those stories says anything about the DoD admitting they took down the page. Do you have any evidence to support your claim that DoD admitted to this? BTW, I checked wayback machine to see if there was any trace of the Charles Rogers page with the DEI added to the URL - nope. Maybe DoD scrubbed the wayback machine. Am I to believe Trump who is an -ist & -phobe, targeted just this one guy? Furthermore, is there anything to indicate this guy was a DEI hire, especially considering he served prior to DEI?
Here's a snap of the URL they had put in place of the original:

This was the url: https://www.defense.gov/News/Featur...or-monday-army-maj-gen-charles-calvin-rogers/

It now redirects to the original.

If you're not up on how urls work, that means the url was created, was used, then was set up to redirect.
If the url was faked, it would not redirect.

Go ahead and load it into your browser address bar.
Let me know where you land.

They thought they'd come to the US (illegally) and live the Gangsta Paradise lifestyle. Then you find yourself in a high security El Salvadorian Prison. That's gotta be a slap in the face. I like the administration's "too late judge that plane is in International Airspace" approach to the Judge's orders. I think this will be a very fruitful business arrangement between El Salvador and the US and solves the problem of either Mexico or their home countries having to deal with these uncivilized people.

I really do like that the administration just simply ignores judges now. Because that tells us that the law means **** all, and we can all do whatever the **** we want.

If the law doesn't apply to Trump and his administration, it certainly doesn't apply to me, to you, or to any criminal out there who wants to break it.
I think that's building an excellent precedent for how our country is going to go for the next four years.

So Jimi, after all those lengthy posts about the removal of Major General Charles C Rogers' webpage being "fake news", have you loaded the url they had up in place of the original for multiple days?

So again...you can't answer that...

Stupid questions don't deserve answers.

LOL what is he failing to do kid?

You realize that I joined the site here in 2007, right? Guessing you were still in diapers at the time based upon a lot of these posts.

Denial isn't a great defense.

This is the disgusting type of shit the country voted for.

Note the address change when you click the link:

Funny, when my conservative computer tries to follow your links provided, the last link, seems to be "Not Found". Must have been real legit.

Or it never happened. I see no evidence to support that this happened to other "dei" bios. Any journalist in the world could have spent sometime on the website to see if other bios were affected. I suspect what happened is the journo's just kept parroting the story and nobody actually confirmed the story or did any other research. Why would this guy get pulled for DEI reasons considering his service pre-dates DEI. With 5-10 minutes of GoogleFu, it looks like there are plenty of bios of black soldiers on gov't sites.

Yes....it was there all along. Clearly made up. Right wing denial strikes again.

theGIRO clearly has a bias. Nobody else is reporting the DoD admitting to this - AP, etc. Furthermore, the DEI url/redirect appears to exist for all MoH recipients on that website regardless of color. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of DEI URLs have been created for other stuff as well. But that narrative doesn't fit the "Orange Man is All the Bad Stuff" narrative.

TBH, I doubt any journalist even looked into the DEI URLs/redirects, which is pretty sad. Did anybody search to see if other black soldiers were affected - of course not, or if they did, they didn't report that Rogers appears to be a "one-off" situation. I'm pretty sure if "they" found other non-white MoH recipients being disappeared off the defense.gov website, it would have been widely reported. It's a lot more likely this was an accident or that all the MoH URLs weren't redirecting properly. Unfortunately, Roger's DEI URL seems to be the only one captured in the wayback machine.
