There are absolutely universally unethical practices, but that was not the discussion.
But that's not what Thxone is arguing. He is arguing that the private business of infotainment is acting unethically when they offer what THEY choose to offer to the public, and not what HE deems is appropriate for them to offer.
He dislikes the fact that these privately owned infotainment businesses are "reporting" on what they want to report on, and disregarding what they choose NOT to.
Sorry, but that's a ridiculous stance for a grown man to take. 'Might as well complain and say that McDonald's is acting unethically because they don't sell pizza by the slice, or that you can't buy a Coke from the Pepsi vending machine, or that Spike Lee movies focus too much on urban culture.
Private industry exists to feed the consumer what the consumer wants. If his wants were universal or even just very widespread, then private industry would cater to them.
Why is that so difficult to understand?
