LOL. My twisted views on how business makes money: By giving the customer what they demand.I don't care what your twisted views are Rob.

LOL. My twisted views on how business makes money: By giving the customer what they demand.I don't care what your twisted views are Rob.
It's inconceivable to Rob that there are and should be motives outside of profit. Of course, it appears that many businesses follow Rob's philosophy that making money is all that matters.I don't care what your twisted views are Rob.
A business that exists to not make a profit is called a hobby. It's inconceivable to Rob that there are and should be motives outside of profit. Of course, it appears that many businesses follow Rob's philosophy that making money is all that matters.
OTOH, Rob didn't seem put out when the gov't leaned on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc to deplatform anti-vax accounts.
Did I say businesses exist to not make profits? Why do you keep assigning positions to me that I've never taken?A business that exists to not make a profit is called a hobby.
Even "non-profits" have to make money to stay alive.
What business do you know of that exists to NOT make money?
How businesses make money is not your view, it's just how businesses make money. Cute that you want to attach yourself to that like you have anything to do with capitalism.LOL. My twisted views on how business makes money: By giving the customer what they demand.
Credit where credit is due: You do make me laugh out loud at times.
Ah yes, I'm going to take advice on how businesses work from the guy who has time to argue politics all day on like a nearly dead audio forumI'm sorry you missed the point.
That point being: Business does what business does in order to survive and thrive.
If a business doesn't satisfy your desires, it is because they are more successful in not doing so. If your way meant more success, then that's what businesses would do.
The cool thing about the USA is that if you think your desires match the desires of others, you can start your OWN business that caters to those desires. Business is all about filling a need, or creating the need and then filling it.
The internet gives you exposure to literally a world full of people. You should start a broadcast of your own that fits the mould of what you think a broadcast should be, and get it out there. You may hit an untapped market and make a fortune. And at the same time, you get exactly what you want that the current outlets are not giving you.
Win-win.
"It's inconceivable to Rob that there are and should be motives outside of profit. Why you insist on making points everyone already knows as common knowledge is beyond me."It's inconceivable to Rob that there are and should be motives outside of profit. Of course, it appears that many businesses follow Rob's philosophy that making money is all that matters."
It is not "Rob's philosophy" that business exists to make profit. It dates back some 200,000 years.
Without making money, a business ceases to exist.
Why do you have a problem with that?
You might want to read up on capitalism, kid. We ALL have PLENTY to do with capitalism. How businesses make money is not your view, it's just how businesses make money. Cute that you want to attach yourself to that like you have anything to do with capitalism.
What "unethical practices" would those be? Private business choosing what they do to make money, when their methods don't fit YOUR demands?By your twisted views I mean supporting unethical practices as long as it supports YOUR narrative.
"Common knowledge", yet you and Jimi are complaining that business makes profits in ways that YOU don;t want them to.Why you insist on making points everyone already knows as common knowledge is beyond me.
How much did you pay in income taxes last year? How about the year before?Ah yes, I'm going to take advice on how businesses work from the guy who has time to argue politics all day on like a nearly dead audio forum![]()
Again with statements that everyone already knows. You might want to read up on capitalism, kid. We ALL have PLENTY to do with capitalism.
That's right, just turn a blind eye. What "unethical practices" would those be? Private business choosing what they do to make money, when their methods don't fit YOUR demands?
If they don't do what YOU want them to do, it's "unethical"?
Pretty entitled thought process, there.
