Curious about properly powering a set up

Hello fam! I used to have an account I used a few years ago, but I forgot the name so I am back from scratch.

I am back to improve my system entirely.

Anyway, I was curious if this was a proper energy source for such a system..

I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe and I am looking into a 260 Amp Alt from DC, and a upgraded battery (red top? yellow top? any suggestions)

My future system will be a: JL 600/1v3 amp powering a JL W6v3 (600w rms) & JL 300/4v3 amp powering Focal Polyglass 170 V in the front, and old Pioneer TS-D1720C in the back (both 60w rms).

So, my question is would this slight up grade keep my car running strong?

 
I would think that DC alt would be overkill for powering ~800 watts rms. You should be good with your factory alt and an upgraded battery. Espicially if you've done your big 3 already.

What kind of problems? Is your big 3 done? What did you use for your big 3 wire? Stock battery? How old is it? All your grounds secured tightly?
the lights just dim a lot sometimes it cuts out too. the big 3 is not done though so i'm assuming that's giving me the problems but i don't want to do it because i feel like i'll mess something up pretty badly. the battery's only 2 years old it's a pretty small battery i'm thinking of adding either a shuriken or a kinetik small battery in the back to help out with the voltage problems. or i'm trying to find someone to help me with the big 3

You don't have to replace any of the stock wiring; just add on to it.

The big 3 is super easy man. It might sound hard but I shit you not it's something you can do in like 5 minutes. Do the big 3 and I bet a lot of your problems will subside. Chances are you'll still get dimming but it shouldn't continue to cut out. You have no bass boosts on, correct? Both on the amp and the headunit?

yeah thats what i hear so i might try it this weekend maybe. i don't care as much about the lights dimming as much as the cutting out but yeah bass boost is off on both. the sub takes everything like a champ its a sundown i don't think i'll have problems with that but it's my amp that i'm a little worried about

What kind of vehicle are we talking about?
