Curiosity about multiple alternator setup...

I have done a few multi alternator builds and what I do is run a piece of string around the pulleys and mark it. Then I take the string and tie it at the mark. Then I hand the string to someone at the local auto parts store and they hand me a belt.

 
the number is the measurement of the belt. I have a belt from a different car on my jeep. I had the stock size from the stock belt, and i kinda just guessed on how much longer it needed to be. Had to go back to the parts store a few times though.

What type of Jeep are you running dual alts on?
