Anyone have experience with a 'subs up, ports back' box in a trunk?

it'd make my design a lot easier to put the subs on top, and then run four 4" aeroports firing towards the taillights (no bending).

this would be a 4ft^3 @ 42Hz box in the trunk of an accord for loud daily driving. what do you think?
