I do semi-pirating.
I can download unlimited for a month from zune, then strip the DRM so I can keep the songs. On the unlimited plan from zune, your membership must remain active so the songs still work.

I don't know if someone sells an unlimited plan that is DRM free for aprox $20.

Just download utorrent. You can't pack a virus in an mp3 file. I've never had a problem with viruses. Hell I'm running a pirated OS. My Office is pirated and my photoshop is pirated. Just be smart. Scan the files before you open them.
