What I am trying to understand is that my computer at work is a 3 Gz Pentium 4. I can get a scratch and dent dell with the core 2 duo for about ~400, but it is only 1.8 Gz.

core duo's don't change the speed really it just makes it nice for multi-tasking. But if you had a 1.8ghz pc right now, you probably wouldn't notice a difference in speed. The GFX are cool. The acting was terrible and there was way too much cheese.

:fyi:Transformers is an HD-DVD exclusive, it doesn't exist in the Blu-Ray format.

It's on DVD & HD-DVD only.

you would notice a huge performance increase in that. There is virtually zero lag whenever you are multi-tasking. Personally if you are wanting to find out about core 2 duos and stuff here are forums/sites I read. ocforums.com, bit-tech.net, anandtech.com, xtremesystems.org/forums, and there is one more but I can't think of the name. That's where I used to get a lot of my info from though plus that and maximum pc magazines. I don't know for sure, but I think that the CD is of new material.

You can pick up the Hell Freezes Over CD for $10 and it has a GREAT version of Hotel Cal.
