The good thing about deadening is that is works for more than car audio...
It makes it quieter driving down the road.

I have found the floor makes the greatest difference.

I also found covering the deadener in spectrum helps quite a bit as well.

On the floor, do you use the Dynamat type producut or the product that looks more like a carpet pad? It's been a while since I looked at the various product names.
