Bank is taking too long giving me my money back they double charged me for. took them one day to process them taking it, 7 days later they still havent given me half of it back.

I got an offer in the mail that will give me 5% interest on balance transfers, for the life of the balance. I have about $3500 I want to transfer at currently 19%. I most likely won't pay it off in a year, so instead of transferring from card to card, I may just lock in at 5%.

Sounds like a good move, as long as you dont default the interest rate wont sky rocket to like 35% or some crazy shit.

I think I'm going to try it. They say I'm pre-selected but haven't said how much I'm approved for. It also is 0% on purchases for 6 months then 13% afterwards.

Called and they'll let me know by mail. Most likely not approved. I don't understand why one card would approve me for said amount and not another.

how soon are you applying for all these? like how much time in between each application?

Youll be fine. next time do it online, youll get a faster result normally. However, letting you know by mail may just mean that they arent giving you the full $3500 credit limit. IME.

I read in the letter it takes 48 hours for balance transfer approval. Maybe it takes time to verify the amount with the other credit card company.

Doesnt really matter, i did a balance transfer a couple years back and they just deposited th emoney into my account and told me to pay it myself. I had the card for a few years though, that may have had something to do with it, but...

I've done it before. With impedance rise you can probably get away with it, depending on the amp.
