I ended up picking up a 9887. Since I'm running components, the lack of a 3-way xover was no big deal. I forced to go Alpine because my ipod is like an extension of my arm, and the KCA-422i is absolute tits.

I'm going the 9887 route as well. Ebay has them for cheap if nothing else. And the 9887 has a nice 3 way xover.

It does in fact have one? I read on Alpine's site it just says HP/LP. If it does have a 3-way, then tits.

I ended up getting mine on Crutchfield. Crutchfield screwed up my order once and gave me a 20% off coupon, plus I had my sister place the order so I could use the refer a friend. I was surprised they allowed us to use two coupons. I figure $300 shipped from an authroized dealer was worth it. Not too mention I got a new dash kit since my old one is broke.
