sounds like it's just you and me so far. Better make a thread ;D.I have returned...
What was decided on the meet?
yeah I forgot what that one word is called it's some acronym, I think it's HITT or HIIT or something like that. I think it's what you are trying to say, or the forum. It's basically where you jog for a minute, then run full speed for 30 seconds, then jog, then run, then jog etc etc and you do that for 15 minutes. It's suppose to be better for you then jogging 60 minutes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifThe site is http://anabolicminds.com/forum/
They have some general ideas on cardio. To make it easier on you, what I've picked up from there is that cardio is best in the morning. For weight loss, you should do in on an empty stomach. And intensity is a lot more important than length, like, you want to get your heart rate up as soon as possible and the higher the better.. Also, if you are trying to put muscle on and do cardio, you don't want to do cardio for for over 20 min, other wise you start releasing cortisol which breaks down fat and muscle. This is just what I've picked up though, some might be wrong, some might just be preference.
Oh, and there aren't too many stickys, but if you search and read, you'll find lots of good information.
I believe HITT (high intensity training) or whatever the acronym is very similiar to VO2max training. Which is how you train your body for extra stamina and endurance. I do that when I train for marathons.yeah I forgot what that one word is called it's some acronym, I think it's HITT or HIIT or something like that. I know this.......First off...to get skinny...eat 6 times a day.
Weight lifting is essential to losing weight along with cardio. You do more reps for weight loss vs. fewer reps and more weight for bulking. When you lose weight, you don't just lose fat, you lose muscle as well. Weight lifting will cause you to build up your metabolism, and with weight lifting, you'll look leaner.oh so I was right about something for once >
Since you guys jog, do you have any suggestions? I just want to jog/run instead of lighting weights again. I'm not wanting to get big at all, I just want to be skinny again. I've already switched over my diet but I don't think it's gonna help much unless I actually exercise with it.
Not much to cardio. You are working the heart so anything that gets your heart rate up for 20-30 minutes will be sufficient. I went from 353 pounds in May of 2006 to 247 pounds now, with using a stationary bike as my only cardio.I know this.......
I know a lot more then I probably put off, I just don't know much about cardio honestly. I'm not much a runner right now but I'm willing to give it a try. I've had will power before, I'm ready to do it again. Any tips on how I should jog, I know there are certain ways to stand so you don't put so much strain on your joints/etc.
X2. Actually weight training burns more calories throughout the day than running. Your body continues to use calories to heal.Weight lifting is essential to losing weight along with cardio. really? I think we have a stationary bike actually....do you just ride it at a medium pace for 30 minutes or do you switch it up like HITT. and actually HITT is suppose to build muscle up unlike typical jogging. The only reason, and this is the main reason I don't lift anymore is because my stupid fuking elbow. Yes I know I've *****ed about it for a long time but it just hurts to **** much to lift with it. I really should have gone to the doctor right when I noticed it, I really do regret that. Not much to cardio. Shoes should be top on your list. Running form is important, but shoes will make a world of difference. Go to a running store. You will know if you have found one because they will make you take your shoes off and watch you walk barefoot. They will pick shoes for your walking and running type and they will let you run in the shoes before you buy them.I know this.......
