Safety was a big part of our LP program. They were more concerned with rack saftey than shoplifting. I was talking to a district LP and he said that people cannot steal enough to cover losses from safety. Meaning, losses from work injury/customer injury are far, far greater than theft.
We do a lot of safety training and accident prevention, but the fun part of the job is chasing coloreds.

I worked at the GM tech center for 3 months before they got rid of my job. I ended up going back to Kmart. I am not security. It's loss prevention. I file insurance claims, handle saftey issue and accident reports, manage company returns among stopping shoplifting. It is all about protecting the company assets.
Ah, i see. never realized u got laid off.'

Make decent cash?

Back in July I had a guy who needed a part for his pump come in and tell me I took it from him a YEAR ago. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I pulled out the parts, 2 different models, laid them on the counter and went to get my book that tells me which one he needs. As soon as I turned around, he left with the part.
He came back 2 weeks later for chemicals, my boss confronted him and said what he did was called stealing. He said I did the samething to him.

I don't take parts from people. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif We haven't seen him since.
I would have pressed charges had I been your boss. Pretty funny that he just took the part and left though. lawl.

When I was 18 I had a night job working at a Diamond Shamrock gas station. One night I got robbed, but it was a wimpy robbing. This big black guy came behind the counter next to me and took like 20 cartons of ciggarettes. I was like "hey dood, help yourself..." and he did. Cops showed up and I had to file a statement and give them the video tapes.

This is the first level of LP. Once you advance there is great opportunities for cash in the field.

Ahahahaha. That would ****.

Reminds me of the movie Trailer Park Boys. they are attempting to rob an ATM when their car rolls out of park and busts through a stores front window. They end stealing a shit ton of cigarette cartons. lmfao

oh the guy was black if that makes any difference
I am starting to see a pattern here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

The guys who stole from my work were some white high school kids. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Though we did have some big black guy walk out with a bag full of 15-20 drivers once. That was before I started working there though.

But overall I'd say the majority of people who steal from our store are gonna be young white kids. But that's the demographic thats in our store the most anyways, so it would only make sense.
