Yes. I worked at Lowe's. Every can got opened. The nice paint is nearl $40/gal.
It causes 2 problems. 1) The first person stole the paint 2) and more importantly, we don't want the next guy to go home with a gallon of mud and get mad at us. We'd rather piss of the their by denying them the return.

I had one person try to return a gallon of white paint but they filled the container with milk.

I did have a game camera that died on me after a year. It wasn't still covered under warrant so I went to Wal-Mart, bought the same camera, put my old camer aback in the box, and got a full refund the next day.

I'm confused. I know you used to work security at a store, and I derive that you still do from your conversations.
However , I also thought you worked at an automobile plant???

I worked at the GM tech center for 3 months before they got rid of my job. I ended up going back to Kmart. I am not security. It's loss prevention. I file insurance claims, handle saftey issue and accident reports, manage company returns among stopping shoplifting. It is all about protecting the company assets.

Only time I specifically remember someone stealing something was when i was like 8 or 9. My mom, brother, and I were shopping at Marshall's in Memphis. These two hood ninjas went to the checkout register with like 20 articles of clothing in their hands. It was ridiculous how many clothes they had. When she went to grab one they just ran out the door and INTO APARTMENTS BEHIND THE STORE!!!

Back in July I had a guy who needed a part for his pump come in and tell me I took it from him a YEAR ago. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I pulled out the parts, 2 different models, laid them on the counter and went to get my book that tells me which one he needs. As soon as I turned around, he left with the part.

He came back 2 weeks later for chemicals, my boss confronted him and said what he did was called stealing. He said I did the samething to him.
