Indeed. I am saving money now that I am single. I am wasting it elsewhere, but I have put in stops to ensure that is limited.
If things go as planned, I will be back to baller status in March.

1. Instead of using my debit card on my allowance, I am using cash. I am withdrawing less than what I allocated. Then the excess goes to saving up for mid-priced things I want, like a mp3 player/ mattress for guest room, etc.
2. Use my refund to pay down the monies on the appliances. I can have them paid off. The remainder of the refund is still up in the air. Part of me wants to put it on the house, other part says it should go to my Roth. I think I will divide it 50/50 between the two investments.

3. Selling my Mustang and putting that money on the house. It is an albatross around my neck.

If I can reduce the principal on the house to say $100k by the end of 3 years, I will be in great shape to get out of the ARM and into a balloon. The house will be paid for in less than 10 years. The only real debt I will have is student loans...if I get to teach, that is where that money is going. Barring me finding a wife and having kids, or some other catastrophic event, things should look good from here.

If I were to get in a relationship, priorities would change.

However, if she had a good job, things would happen even faster. I guess I shouldn't be so pessimistic. It would be nice finding a woman with the similar goals and interests.

Sounds like a heck of a plan. I fear paying back student loans tho. I have the feeling I'll just be working 40 hr weeks and still be broke. Lol

Tappin, tow poker sessions ago I could do no wrong. Then Saturday night I had a horrible night at poker. Shit like: I flopped a set of 6's, dude turn's a set of Jacks. I hit a set of Jacks on the flop, bish runner runners to hit a flush.
To top it off none of the decent players are winning. All of the people who are winning are horrible. For example: I have KQ. I spike a K on the flop, bet and it folds to dumb *****. I hit a Q on the turn for top two. The river comes a 9 -- she was playing J,10 and called the flop with zero. Then she doesn't even raise the river. WTF? YOu chase a rujner and you don't try to make the most of it when you hit?

I had K9 in the blind. The flop comes 9,9,10. I bet, guy raises. Everyone else exits and I check and call. Dude turns over a 9,10. Flops a full house and raises on the flop with players behind him.
