fack...vista is a pain in the *** to share drives simply (because of the added security), its probably easier for you to share the folder on your computer.I have Vista, my mom has XP.

To setup dhcp on your computer, go to start/settings/network connection
then right click on Local Area Conneciton then click on Properties. Then Highlight Internet Protocol [TCP/IP] then hit Properties. As long as the window that pops up shows check marks on Obtain IP and Obtain DNS automatically, you're setup for DHCP.
As far as your workgroup, look in start/settings/control panel/system/ then click on the tab Computer Name. Your workgroup is listed below. This should be something similar to the one in Vista.
