Obviously not enough. Citibank cuts 55,000 jobs trying remain afloat...that's nearly half their employees. Is GM willing to cut the pension/insurance to retirees, and fire half their workforce, and then try to design cars people other than me want to buy?
They have cut retiree benefits.

No, I buy health insurance. It is available on the private market now. Expensive, but available.
The auworkers did pay in for their health care. You think they didn't have any deductions taken out of their pay for benefits? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif The UAW agreed to absorb all health care cost in exchange for a lump sum from GM. Gm has cut its workforce in half the past 10 years. They have cut retiree benefits. GM has been reorganizing.

Yes, it's only for a couple years...if you are the best of the best, you add two zeros to the $36k easy.
FWIW, it's M&A analysts....that work is tough.

They do get free food though...and a place to sleep at work. Just so they don't leave. Of course this is the lowest of the low people make those salaries.
Well we are speaking of menial line workers not thinkers looking for a shot to prove worth flip. The industries and practices don't transfer the same. I won't disagree more cutting could be done though.

Now troll on something else.

Problem is it was too late. I still see no reason to bail out.

I don't know how people who work on assembly lines thing. I do not understand the psychology of a person willing to turn a bolt for 20 years. I also don't see how that job creates $15/hr in value to the firm.
I wouldn't expect you too. I don't understand your want to play with numbers.

The $15/hr I can't answer nor do I want to contemplate it.

People on assembly lines think normally and don't draft financial equations for ****** intercourse.
