Wherever you put the drainage lines. lol Just don't run them into a sewer, you could expect some heavy fines for that if caught.
That is what I was thinking. There is no where else to put them though. The pool is the entire back yard and the front yard slopes down to the public street where teh drains are.

Lol, well not backwash until it's drained. When it gets so low the sump pump is what we used too. Most of the pools I worked at had sand filters and that's how we did it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Cartridge filters have no multiport valve to allow backwash/drain/rinse/ect..
Water goes into them, gets filtered, then back out.

No it will cure underwater, there's just some chemicals you can't add while it's curing. Salt for example, you should wait at least 30+ days before you add that.
Who cares about chemicals. If I do it now, no one will be in it till next year and all it has to do is stay blue. lol

Why would I add salt?

Ah, all the pools I've ever worked on were in ground pools with multiport valves
It is said that sand filters are for lazy people. I agree, that is why I like them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They're mostly found in the northern regions. In the southern regions it's mostly cartridge & DE filters.

Do not like driving it.
Operating 43 year old cars is sometimes difficult.

ATTN DBMIKE:
Can pools be refinished? I may be obtaining a pool (in ground) that is at least 10 years old maybe 20 and the walls seem to appear as though they are degrading. Also, the pool is only half full and so green you can't see the bottom. It is about 15 feet by 30 I think. Bout the same size as DeMan's if you remember his pix.

What will I need to do to recondition the pool and what will it cost?
at first I thought "how the **** is he just buying a pool?"

You about to move into a new house though?

Lies. That is clearly outerspace.
ha

Oops. I think I just got someone in trouble. I AIM'd them and their boss was on the computer.
And there is only two of you who I have AIM with, and this person was not 2kchevy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
iamdeman. FIRED.

Where does the water go, yo?
dont listen to DB, just let it flow down the street into the sewer. Do it when it is raining, noone will notice.

No way get it done now, it will take a while, like 30 days to a year for the surface to fully cure.
30 days and a year is a big *** span.
