Drain and pressure wash!

Good idea. Didn't think of that. HTF do you drain a pool? Is there a plug at the bottom or do you have to siphon it out?

if it's going to be resurfaced, you need to drain it, bleach the shit out of it.

rent a sump pump from some place or buy one from a pool store/

I wonder if they make pumps that can be used for the pressure wash, but also reversible so I can use it to drain the pool.

Gettin' kinda late in the year though. This sounds like a couple weekends just to get it ready for a refinish... Might have to wait for next summer.

I use to help open a shit load of neighborhood pools back in my lifeguarding years. We'd drain almost all of them and powerwash them.

No way get it done now, it will take a while, like 30 days to a year for the surface to fully cure.
