Silica sand has tons of jagged edges on it to help catch algae and other trash. It would work better if you use it as a filter.

Its either that or snadbox sand. Pool filter sand is recommended supposedly cuz it is more uniform in size and its lighter, makes things look better, and its cleaner and doesnt contain any clay. They are both around the same price PFS is $6 and play sand is $5 for 50lb bag. Now i just gotta see if they have it at the home dept near me.

I don't know anything about that. But there was this thread where a guy had mentioned something about his deceased wife and his current gf. someone mentioned somthing about pix of both.

Then someone (but not Toasted) said something to the effect that it would be cool to see pics, but only if the guy already had one of the wife handy. He dodn't want the guy to go to the trouble of digging up the dead wife on his account.
