You seemed pretty wasted by your text messages Monday night...I lol'd at them. I was in a movie or I would have responded back.

I am in kind of the same dilemma..This summer while I was in school I had my house to myself and all my good friends were away..I decided to cut up and ended up losing 11-12 pounds and kept most of my strength..Looked the best I have ever looked in my life.. I kept my drinking to a minimum, with 0 or 1 night a week of alcohol..

Now that everybody is back in town I have been drinking HEAVILY 2 nights a week the past 2 weeks. I don't want to gain back the beer gut I lost. Plus, it would save me a lot of money not going to the bar 2ce or maybe more a week.

But once again, my social life would suffer..

Decision, decisions.
Sounds like I'm in the exact same boat. Although I'm broke, I had someone take my shift while I was drunk so that I could go boating and get drunk the next day. Plus beer makes me have stinky farts.

So many people on this forum have called me, I honestly don't remember.
I still get drunk and text a few members.

Me and Jamesypoo had a drunk text conversation the other night.
Haha

I hate long classes..Have a 3 hour lab coming up myself from 1-4.
I have one tonight from 6 - 9. Human sexuality. Sweet.

It doesn't annoy me and I doubt it annoys WSW. Just because I don't think unions are a necessity doesn't mean I am an extremist about it. lol.
You are correct -- IMO the people that are really hurt by unions today are the workers and those who would be working but for the unions acting like the people who provide jobs are the enemies.

But what irks me the most are the labor laws. For example, if an employer gets wind that a union is organizing his workforce it would seem logical that the empoyer could gather the employees together and discuss why things are done a certian way and find out why the employees have issues. Wrong, that is called an unfair labor practice. There are seemingly endless examples of counterintuitive rules under the NLRA.

I once read an arbitration case where an emploee left work, without permission, to go beat his wife. When he came back, was fired. The decision was that termination was too extreme because the employer had failed to take into account that the employee had later been honest about the reason he had left.

oh.
weird. forum more CTers meeting in real life haha.

i will respond. I didnt see it last night and theres actually work to be done this morning.

this is wrong information.

Just need a lot more time, thats all. And more money to pour into a hobby. Youre right, when it rains it pours, but shit will change. I guarantee that.

I plan that shit.

we knew this was going to happen haha. 09 is gonna be even worse.

I have money saved up but I'm not in my new place yet so I don't want to pull out of that just yet. I actually have quite a bit saved up. I'm proud of myself.

Chris, I would have responded but your PM box was full.

When most employers get wind about a union being organized they just fire all the employees.

Cases like that really bother me, because in my eyes it doesn't matter what the reason is (to an extent) so therefore honesty shouldn't even be a factor. He left work without permission or notice should be fired. Of course there can be emergencies, but obviously this was not one.
