Just spent $78 on pool chemicals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I don't even want to know how much I have spent trying to get it blue/crystal clear this summer. It seems I can only get one or the other. My dumbass didn't shock it/ algaecide it weekly like recommended and it kicked my *** this weekend when thunderstorms rolled through big time.

It has been a costly learning experience to say the least.

**** son, why dont you get a pool boy?

I tried doing what DB said and using bleach to save money. Used 8 gallons Saturday evening when the pool started turning green and waited till Monday afternoon and it just got worse.

Back in April when it was green I used Bleach and turned it completely blue in 2 days, but the water was terribly cloudy. I then struggled with the cloudy water for a week or two and said fk it, due to summer school. Well since summer school has been over I have been finally getting clearer water and then this sh1t turns green again. ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGG

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif Lots of bleach, just when you think you have enough, grab more!

You need bleach & a test kit. When the pH is too high, pour in some Muriatic Acid to bring it down, don't use sodium-bisulfate(pH Minus/Down) It costs too much, acid is cheap and very effective! Lowes, Home Depot, and most any hardware store will carry it.

The best algeacide is Polyquat 60%(it should be on the label of the product) It would say something like: poly [oxyethylene (dimethyliminio) ethylene (dimethyliminio) ethylene dichloride] 60%

That's the good stuff! It's really the only one worth buying.

But the best thing to use is bleach.
