$7k down on a $17k Accord = ~200/month payment. He only has $7,000 iirc...and that is if he uses all the money.
Very easy to do.

You're so far off base its not even funny.I will say this once. So all draw near and listen closely.
My impression is that a lot of civil disobedience goes back to the mod election fiasco. Goob handled that poorly. It is his site and he can have whatever mods he wants, but that doesn't mean there are zero consequences in the attitudes of members.
You can go back to my posts before the election and see that I really did not care if we even had an election. I had no problems with any of the existing mods and quite frankly, I was content with the know versus the unknown.
But once the elections were held and announced, Goob should have have installed the new mods IMO. If he did not like the results, he should have culled them before they were announced. Of course, he probably had no idea who he thought was undesireable because he had not been told what his opinion was yet.
Fuel was added to the fire by the fact that some of the outgoing mods pulled some stunts of their own in what they thought was going to be the last days of their modship.
These stunts would have been no big deal if they had actually left office. They would have been seen as the equivalent of "senior pranks." One last hurrah.
But when the old mods stayed in place, the pranks took on a new meaning. It was more eveidence that Goob just has no clue. He was making a decision that the new mods could not be trusted, while the pranks of the old mods were still fresh on everyone's mind.
Furthermore, the perception was that the old mods had Goob's ear and he was listening to their viewpoints -- which were obviously biased.
The effect of this on the SM situation may be remote -- but IMO it was directly related to the T sitaution.
Used, low miles, get under $200 payment that way if issues arrive you arent stuck with a crap car or a $400 payment. You can earn $200 a month easy.I have 10k all together plus I could get a loan. what do you guys suggest to do?
I don't see how I am off base. You're so far off base its not even funny.
Its a privilege to post here, you have to remember that first and foremost.
Next, You have one part right, goob has no idea what is going on ever, nor does it seem like he cares.
In addition, he doesnt listen to us. He jumps at rash decisions that make no sense. We have been asking for months/years to get a new classifieds and other things...nothing has been done.
Finally, think what you want, the moderators that agreed upon his banning were the ones that YOU and your fellow members voted in. Jmac carried out the sentence.
I see.I heard it was because he popped Jmacs ego by calling him an idiot.
Jmac apparently only knows absolute definitions of words. He doesn't realize that most of the world judges things in a subjective manner and in relation to true intent. Iam informed him of his blind idiocy and was promptly banned for a day.
heh, when was this?Atleast req did'nt do anything for me calling hima retard, he just wrote like a 4 paragraph response which i didn't read.
interestingHonestly never heard a **** word about em. Link?
Most mods don't care what people say to them here. Jmac is the only one I know that gets butthurt enough to ban people for sayin shit to him. I've seen him do it a few times.
oh ok.We really need to get some kind of mod election going.
nonsense.I actually might get some work done today since everyone is banned.
So when is the mod team going to make a decision about an actual scammer 02parkave, there are threads about him that he barely ackknowledges, yet he can post all he wants. wheres the fairness?Really he has two choices...
1)We let the OGs get away with whatever and go really hard on the new guys (in which many complained)
2)we go equally as hard on both parties (which many complained)
Sooooo...Decision was made by half of the mod team on the SM topic.
I mean hell...Im not even supposed to be a mod anymore, and you see how the last elections went...
Yeah, well based on stetements by a couple of mods it sounds like to me that all or some had no idea that SM had returned the money as soon as he received it. I know the party line now is that it doesn't matter, but to me that just sounds like an after fact statement that the mods are sticking to their guns. And of course, someone would have to actually go to Goob to have the ban reduced, which no mod is going to do.
money was exchanged from 02parkave to dragnix. 02 didnt send shit, he isnst banned. jordantyler, scammed on a box in front of everybody....not banned. It's the fact that money was exchanged under the false pretenses, when it was refunded is irrelevant.
And if Goob was aware of the situation, I would wager he'd perma and possibly ban his IP's.
I have no bias against SM, yeah I banned him in the past, but if you've ever read when we've gone back and forth on the forums, you'd see I had no problems with him. Don't know about the rest of the mods' feelings toward him, but this was a decision that was agreed upon by several mods, not just one.
He created a situation in which it was possible to by putting a paypal addy out there..
Plus, it doesn't help when 'regulars' here are posting how they sent SM $50 to get their amp(s) fixed in the past..
insightful post.I will say this once. So all draw near and listen closely.

Perception isn't an absolute. I have already shown that some mods don't understand subjectivity and relativity. Some don't understand that most things are under the grey area. I wouldn't expect them to understand either. They lack grey matter in their heads. Grey matter is what allows people to understand grey areas. Not to mention the fact that I spoke in terms of perception. I don't think you have any greater idea what the perception of the members was than I do.
Brilliant deduction, watson!by that rational those are some of the same mods we chose to push out by not giving them our votes.
True, but that still doesn't mean that it was right.but i guess what is done is done.....
