I dunno. Me and teh gf have an issue about appliances and furniture.
I want to go without them until I can rebuild my savings some. The downpayment on the home kills my savings. I want to hold off on appliances and furniture until I can get my savings back up to where I feel comfortable.

She thinks appliances are a need. I disagree. I think I can do okay with this minifridge I already have plus a griddle.

I am unsure about going the craigslist route. Odds are, they are selling crappy shit and may have bugs or something to infest my house. However, dropping $2k on appliances a week or two after moving in...I don't think I can take.

You can get a pretty decent fridge and range for $1000 or even less.
