What math is that for?

The teacher says a lot of it is applied for calculus type problems but most of it won't be used in college algebra.

Welcome to my world when it comes to trying to read. I can stare at the book all day long, I can even try to recite each sentence word by word to myself, but it means nothing to me.
Gimme about 20 minutes on those problems. Got another group meeting.

The first one is 6x^8 IIRC.

And think the second is undefined due to not being able to find square root of a negative.

I'm working on a paper right now for english(a solution paper), I have 150 questions I have to study for med term, and I have to study A LOT for my math class because I still have no idea wtf is going on. I really do need to get help because I'm so lost it's not even funny.
Actually if any of you are good with square root, the i thing with square root help me because I seriously have no idea how to do those problems. I've been sitting in the class like a mindless zombie, it just does not click.
