thats more than i make. $7/hour plus usually like $60 in tips for a 6 hour shift

To be honest I think it has more to do with you guys looking down upon truck drivers then anything else. I don't see what is wrong with making a good living.

I don't look donw upon them in any way shape or from. Without them I wouldn't do what I do. I have dealt with Truck drivers and transportation my whole time working by managing the docks that unload/load them. It's very respectable. I just think you should look bigger than just being a "driver" but meh if it's what you would be happy with, than do it. I was just showing other possibilities. I don't look down on them one bit. I need them!

Father in-law monkey is a truck driver. He don't make that much money. He's been at it for o0ber years. Course he as a daily route now days. he says in his younger years when he did the state to state thing, he made pretty good money.

Complacency. I know of a driver who does short local routes for us but owns 5 other trucks that he takes a cut of for others to drive. He makes bucks!

What is the difference being a "driver" making 45k a year vs. say a asset protection manager making 50k a year? To me, it's just that "asset protection manager" is a fancier title.
With truck driving, I still have the opportunity to make near 6 figures. I'd need a master's degree to make near 6 figures going business. That is about what 40-50k in student loans? 4-5-6 years of school? All I'll really gain is a paper saying I should know business, and I may know what flip says half the time.

Flip knows finance, not business. I could care less about titles. It's the preparedness to take on an even bigger picture not gain superfluous titles.
