I had a teacher one tell me that was plagarism to turn in the same paper twice.

that's stupid. Academic dishonesty is if you DIDN'T write the paper, even if it was properly cited. I can't see how it's dishonest if you wrote it and just turned it in again to avoid a bad grade possibly. Of course I could be thinking wrong and they may have a better reason but I'm not seeing what that better reason is. It's my only hope really sir, I only have an hour and a half left till class.
