I get off for New Years, Xmas, Thanksgiving, & Labor Day.

We get off less holidays than many other jobs around here.We do not get off for Good Friday, unlike banks.

Second to only banks I would think.

Sorry sons o b!tches to complain about that. If you really have a need for some home improvement etc on Christmas, plan ahead.

I never have a problem with a business being closed on such Holidays.

Federal Holidays have always been observed on a Monday if the actual Holiday falls inbetween the previous weekend.

All govt employees get the Monday off if a holiday falls on a Sunday, get Friday off if it falls on a saturday

They would complain that their water heater went out and there was no one there to help them....and we should have a minimal staff to take care of them in such situations.
I would respond with something like, at least we are open on the weekends, unlike many of our local competitors.
