just be careful. Speed is a dangerous thing to have, especially with the shitbags that drive around these days.
Then you do not want something very powerful. I'm not saying get some slow shit, but the Ninja 250 NEW is 3500. I have an old Honda 500, and I've had no problems with it. 25 years old too.I don't have much experience on motorcycles but i think i am very responsible with power till i have fully learned the machine. 2 models that peaked my interest was a used honda 600 F2-F4(are these considered supersport?) and the kawasaki 250. I liked the idea of the smaller one to learn on but have a feeling i will be wanting more real quick but great gas mileage and much cheaper.
One more question i am looking at spending about 3 grand max. if i decide to go that route but how would the reliabilty be on a decent honda 600?
That sounds plenty fast for me right now. I don't want to be taking baby steps working my way up. What about that ninja 500? Not a whole lot more money maybe a happy medium. That new 250 does look awesome kind of tempting. Then you do not want something very powerful. I'm not saying get some slow shit, but the Ninja 250 NEW is 3500. You could get an older model (2000 to 2007 even), and I've been looking for specs, but i saw that someone said it gets about 5.7 zero-to-sixty.
Is that not fast enough for you?
I'm looking at something from 2001, saying 0-60 is 3.87 seconds. 12.81 QM @ 101.2MPH.That sounds plenty fast for me right now. I don't want to be taking baby steps working my way up.
