crossovers and going active?

OKay, I have a question. Im going to be installing Blaupunkt vc100 tweeters and Mach 5 MLI-65 mids in my Altima soon using the Blaupunkt crossover.

I ran across this on craigslist. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ele/1544068855.html I hear people talk about going active so they can have more control.. Is this something I would use to do it? I have a 5-channel amp so it wouldnt be a problem powering each individual speaker.

Anyways, are those two crossovers what I would need to go active?

Are they decent for the price. I may pick them up.
