crossovers and dedicated midbass

After a little research and auditioning a few of my options I have decided upon Alpines SPS-600C for my front stage. I have a few questions about it though.

First I dont like the crossover that comes with it, it is very entry level and it doesnt do well for the tweeters. Do you think I could use the PG Rsd 65cs crossovers I have with these components?

Second. I can get a pair of the midrange drivers that come with the SPS600C for pretty cheap, about 20-30 bucks for the pair. I am running the components off of a TXA-3004 and since I am removing the rear deck I will have 2 open channels. Would I get better midbass response if I got this extra pair of drivers and ran them off the other 2 channels. Crossed at 300hz LPF with the components at 250-300hz HPF?

Thanks for your help and input.
